Jane, It takes everyone on the team to have a successful meet that the gymnasts will enjoy and feel good about, and the judges, as always, came through with their part.  The judges assigned to the Level 3/4/5 State meet were efficient, knowledgeable, consistent, and tireless.  Thank you for supplying Maryland with judging we can all be proud of!

Thank you to Beth Bejeck, Tony Eusini, Jane Flynn, Caryn Harrison, Linda Herrell, Betsy Johnston, Marta Nazario, Julie Jarvis, Erin Ostrove, Linda Ostrove, and Beth Renwick for officiating Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) high school gymnastics competitions this season. High School gymnastics is not the easiest to judge because there is a range of skill levels and it often requires driving on busy roads at rush hour (with no mileage compensation!). The coaches, athletes, and families involved with the competitions expressed much appreciation and gratitude for this season’s officials. While many of the coaches and athletes involved with HS gymnastics are current or former USA Gymnastics members, there are some participants for whom this is their first foray into competitive gymnastics. These “rookies” often seek opportunities to stay involved beyond the High School season. MCPS Gymnastics provides a great springboard (pun intended) for newcomers to become part of our Maryland gymnastics family.
